extremely relieved

I got up early and baked those cookies
Then we had 11 girls decorating about 12 doz cookies
Afterwards there were lots of smiles
Lots of sugar, icing and mess
I spent about an hour de-stickifying my kitchen

Then I had my belt testing
I was so nervous at the start
My throat was dry and I could hardly swallow
My hands were sweaty
At the end we had to sit and wait
While the master and 5 senshi's went out of the room for 20 minutes
I would like to think they were having coffee
But they came back with comments for everyone

I am an orange belt.
I expected, hoped for yellow
But got promoted one belt more than I thought to orange

Those nerves must have made you perform better than you imagined. Excellent job. Celebrate by eating a few cookies!

Fabulous! Congrats on getting your orange belt.
Where are the pics of the girls/cookies and you with your orange belt though??

I didn't take any pictures yesterday, I think I was just too preoccupied. All those cookies are nicely tucked in the freezer though. I "receive" my belt on my next training day, which isn't until January because of the holidays.

Woohoo! You are amazing. (really) Do we get to see some photos of the cookie-party? It sounds delightful.

Oh, oops. Just took the time to read the other comments and realized that you already answered my question.

Congratulations on your orange are amazing. That is so wonderful. I'm glad you told us that you skipped a belt, because I don't know a thing about the order of which belt is which. That is so wonderful. (I like your new blog header too...beautiful girls!)

Congratulations on your orange belt! I'm super excited for you and I'd love to begin taekwondo myself. For all the hours and money i've spent in that studio you'd think I'd have a few belts by now - but I don't have anyone to watch abigail. And your school is great to let you skip a belt - so often it's just about the money.

Yay for you getting your orange!

Joel is brown/white in Jujitsu at the moment and it always amazes me that he can be serious enough to get through a grading. He is normally unable to be still for more than 2 minutes! :D

Happy New Year to you and your family!
