Well they weren't really! But all you smart knitters and crafters figured that out pretty quick. They were actually a pair of Felted Clogs by Fiber Trends.
~
It was a really fun knit for me. Totally something that I had never tried before. Truth be told I had to re-cast the first slipper about 6 times and then I still had some technical difficulties. I persisted though and finally birthed, I mean produced, a comfy and wearable pair of slippers.
~
I have to say that I had to exercise great restraint after felting the slippers. It took about 5 days for them to dry enough to be wearable. Now they don't leave my feet! Okay I take them off for bed, and when I leave the house but not much else. Especially as our mercury starts to dip lower and lower.
~
Would I make them again? Absolutely. Would I make changes? No, I would just know better how to "manage" the shaping of the project.

All in all my footsies are happy!

They turned out so nice! They really look like they are a very sturdy clog, and warm. Nice job!!!
These look so cozy. Great for winter.
Those are really cute!
Oooh very impressive! I love them.
They look amazing!!! I guess that chat in the wool store in Jasper must have been helpful.
While they look so cozy...I will stick with my bare tootsies....adding any covering increases the heat...and right now I don't need additional heat!
love how they turned out! that color is just fabulous. it's true sometimes these projects feel like you've birthed something. great job on the slippers...my little guy is wanting a pair for this winter...guess I'd better get on that!
How great! They look really comfy and cozy.
My mom made me a pair of these a couple of years ago. I wore them constantly and actually wore them out! Now I need a new pair!
