Do you do it all in one day or a little each day?
.
I have done both.
.
Being a good dutch girl I use to call Monday my wash day and didn't stop washing till it was done.
.
Enter kids and scheduling time wasn't quite so neat and tidy. Actually neither were their clothes.

Yet, life kept evolving as more kids came, responsibilites and activities changed. Now it sometimes happens, really it is rare though, that the same load of laundry gets washed, then rinsed and maybe even rinsed again! It gets forgotten in the washer for a couple of days, then sits in the dryer for a couple of days. Eventually it gets folded when the next load needs to be dried.

I can't find my fairy...so I guess this will have to do! What about you?

Yesterday I did about four loads of laundry, which is more than I usually do in a day. I'd say two of those loads are now folded but not put away, and the other two loads are wrinkling in the baskets.
I usually do one load maybe every other day just to keep the hampers from overflowing. I am so so bad about folding it and leaving it on my bed, my dresser...pretty much everywhere except where it belongs! Occasionally I'll enlist the kids to put their own clean and folded clothes away. It gets mixed results. My son will put his all away in the proper place. My older daughter...will leave it on top of her bed, her dresser...(where does she get it?)
I hear ya! I HAVE to do all my loads in the one day because like you mine will get washed a hundred times before I actually remember about it and get it in the dryer in time. I'm bad at multi tasking with laundry, I always seem to forget about it!
I really try to do my laundry in one day (or at least two--or sometimes three). The last load, though, inevitably ends up sitting in the dryer until the next week's laundry. : )
My mother in law (who lives in an in-law apartment next to our house) would tell you that she's my laundry saver. I can't tell you how many times she's switched loads for me or folded a load in the dryer...I definitely have a.d.d. when it comes to laundry! I do try to do it all at the beginning of the week...so my weekend is not consumed with laundry.
Hmm...I usually do all my loads in one day just to get it over with. However, if I'm busy or lazy, I will spread it out between two days. :-D
I am in the same situation as you! I put it in the washer, then maybe that day or the next it gets dried, then moved to the bed, and if I don't get to putting it away that day, it gets moved to the chair and will sit there for a day or 2...then I will fold it, put it in the girls rooms and will usually sit around for a day before getting put away in the closet! It is never ending!!
Laundry, laundry and more laundry -- that's my life. No sooner is one load done than more is awaiting in the basket. I think the culprit is my 16-year old daughter. She wears about three outfits a day. Really, I should make her do her own, then I might have more spare time.

I love to do laundry!! ?I know it sounds so strange & unusual, but I do. The sound of the water filling the machine, then when you add the detergent & softener, the water just comes alive....then the warmth of coming out of the dryer...ahh! Neat baskets of folded, pressed & hung laundry awaits to be put away...
I tend to do my laundry whenever it needs done. I don't like to see dirty piles laying around.
i usually start a load first thing when I wake up, then see where my day takes me...I generally get everything washed & folded immediately after they are done. I do wait until evening to put it away.
Yep, I know it sounds strange...I love to do laundry!
It depends on the week. Some weeks I'm feeling organized and if my Monday starts off good then the laundry gets done and put away. If the week doesn't start out so well, or is a busy week (like this week) it may take until the following Monday to get finished. Then it's time to start all over!
Oh I'm a twice a week girl. Once midweek (normally just one or two loads) and then two or three on the weekend. I don't mind laundry as it's sSo much better then when I was living in England and had no dryer and the washing machine fit about three things in. I was washing stuff three times a day!
Argh...I always have good intentions of getting it all done quickly. I love the smell of fresh, clean laundry. And I'll let you in on a secret....I love folding it! Just hate putting it away....so maybe my fairy will read this and do what I don't like to do.
i used to do one load a day, start to finish (actually putting clothes away where they belong!) and i was totally caught up with laundry while i did this. but now, i'm off kilter once again. my bedroom becomes the landing for clothes needing to be folded and put away. i keep up with the dirty, but have a hard time keeping up with the clean. sigh. i think it really boils down to my family having too many clothes and not enough space for them.
i wanted to respond to your comment on my gluten free pumpkin treat - my daughter and i have discovered a wonderful world of gluten free baking! when we first started eliminating gluten from our diets, i thought for sure our lives would be devoid of the foods we love most (cake, cookies, bread, etc.). but with lots of practice in the kitchen we have found some great recipes! i will soon be creating a whole list of links on my sidebar of the GF recipes we've tried and loved. good luck and happy flourless bakign!
